How it works
- Your team clocks in and out. You can set up a shared time clock tablet at the workplace, where each member enters their own PIN and can have their photo taken. Members can also clock in on their own phones. On that option you can add geofencing so they can only clock in at work, collect their GPS location, and require a photo.
- Each clock-in becomes a timesheet entry straight away. As soon as a member clocks in, their entry appears on the Timesheets page in the web app with a status of Pending. You can compare the Planned rostered shift with the Actual hours they clocked.
- A manager reviews the entries. A manager can correct a time that is wrong, or add an entry for a shift that nobody clocked. When an entry is right, the manager approves it.
- Approved hours go to payroll. On pay day you export the approved entries to your payroll system. Pending and discarded entries are left out.
Who does what
Admins set the time clock up, choose how members clock in, and connect the payroll system.
Managers and Duty Managers need the Can manage timesheets permission. It lets them open the Timesheets page and approve entries for the locations and departments they are assigned to.
Members clock in and out. They can also see their own timesheets, if an admin turns that on for them.
