Require a photo when members clock in or out on their own phones

Set the time clock app to take a photo of each member as they clock in or out on their own phone, so you can see who actually clocked in.

1. Click your profile picture in the top right, then click Settings.
2. Click Time Clock App.
3. Under Time clock(personal devices), check that Enable member time clock is on. The rest of the section only appears once that switch is on.

4. In the same section, turn on Enable buddy punch prevention. The change saves straight away.

Note: There are two switches called Enable buddy punch prevention. The one under Time clock(on-site) covers the time clock tablet, and the one under Time clock(personal devices) covers members' own phones.

5. To check a photo, go to the Timesheets page and hover over an entry, then hover over the camera icon on the right of the row to see the small In and Out photos. Click that icon instead to open Punch Photos, which shows each photo with the time the member clocked in or out. You can also click the entry itself and then click Show punch photos in Edit Timesheet Entry.

Note: Members see a small camera preview above Punch, and the button stays greyed out until the camera is ready. The phone asks each member to allow camera access. A member who refuses sees Enable camera instead, and cannot clock in or out until they allow access. The time clock app loads this setting when a member opens the app, so a member who already has the app open may need to close it and open it again before the camera appears.
